Flowers
So, I tried doing the scanning, and I found that the images weren't as clear and sharp as I thought they would be. I did edit them, and I like how some came out. I will still work with my camera and the macro setting for this week's assignment.
To get the effect in my top picture, I used the eliptical shape and selected around the portion of the picture that I wanted to highlight. Then I selected the inverse, and went into the hue and saturation. Once there, I decreased the light in the picture until I got it as dark as I wanted it. What makes the blur is the feathering. Remember to set it to a high amount so that the edges are blurred.

Genese,
Would you mind explaining how to get the effect you achieved with the mist around the top flower, for example?
Beautiful.
I love this picture. The color and the fagginess works great
